Overview

Mount South Annapurna (7219 m). is the Western part of the Kaski District Nepal lies in Pokhara it takes 4 days from Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp. Annapurna south is the highest mountain in Nepal. Climbing Annapurna south expedition (7219 m) is a popular Expedition in the Annapurna region. Annapurna south offers beautiful Himalayan views, of the beaten trail, Ex-posit green forest of Rhododendron, lush valleys, beautiful landscape, traditional village. 1st Annapurna Expedition

We offer two different ways for Annapurna south expedition from the Annapurna base camp side and the east to north route. Mega Mount trekking and Expedition arrange the Annapurna south climbing according to Adventure seekers/mountaineers' wishes and desires. Annapurna south expedition required good physical fitness and climbing experience in the Himalayas. Annapurna south expedition commence Nayapul/Phedi after driving one and half hours from Pokhara. We set up the Base Camp there for climbing to Mt. Annapurna South. After concluding the expedition the trek backs to Pokhara leads us via Ghorepani and Poon hill where you can envisage one of the most famous panoramic views of Mount Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range. The area is beautiful people Magar and Gurung villages through where the trekking route of Annapurna South face of Expedition goes. As the team moves higher altitude through the rhododendron woodlands, the views of Annapurna and Mount Machhapuchhre are amazing sceneries and towards the Modi River, the greenery valley’s nice views are there on the way. On reaching Ghandruk, Tadapani & Kopra pasture, our campsite remains right below the Mt. Annapurna south face. Trails go tranquility, with a spectacular highland experience. Itinerary Outline

Day 01: Arrival KTM & transfer to hotel -1300m/4264ft

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you and will assist to transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. You may relax at your hotel or go around shopping. In the evening Sange Sherpa Adventure Trekking will organize welcome dinner for you in a centrally located Nepalese restaurant while briefing you about your adventurous trip will take place. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02-03: Kathmandu official work & preparation for Annapurna south expedition

Day 04: After breakfast, Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus or by flight. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 05: After breakfast, Pokhara by private vehicle drop to Phedi and trek to Deurali.

Day 06: Deurali trek to Jhinu danda( Natural hot spring)

Day 07: Jhinu danda trek to Sinuwa

Day 08: Sinuwa trek to Himalayan Hotel

Day 09: Himalayan Hotel trek to Machhapuchhare /Fishtail Base camp

Day 10: Machhapuchhare base camp trek to Annapurna South Base camp

Day 11-23 Annapurna South Climbing Period.

Day 24: Annapurna South trek to Himalayan Hotel

Day 25: Himalayan Hotel trek to Chhomorung

Day 26: Chhhomorung trek to Ghandrung village

Day 27: Ghandrung village trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara

Day 28: After breakfast, Pokhara by tourist bus or by flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 29: Leisure/free time in Kathmandu and in the evening farewell dinner in Nepalese Restaurant. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 30: After breakfast, relaxing /shopping with own activities then before three hours your international flight, Sange Sherpa Adventure’s airport representative will drop to you Kathmandu international airport for onward.

Expedition Equipment: A Complete List of items you need

The expedition is already a challenging and risky task, and the lack of correct equipment makes it even more difficult to scale. For your convenience here is a list of necessary equipment for the expedition we recommend. But remember while packing bag, that most of the international and domestic flights have a weight allowance of 20 kg.

Clothing

-A pair of walking boots (make sure the boots are a good fit and have been worn in).

-Two pairs of walking socks and two pairs of sock liners.

-Two to three comfortable t-shirts. You can also thermal t-shirts.

-Two fleece tops. Or thin layers of clothing with quick-dry fabric that wicks perspiration away from skin rather than heavy cottons.

-Two suitable walking trousers (not jeans of any kind).

-Comfortable underwear and nightwear.

-Flip-flops, trainers, or sandals for campsite use.

-A warm hat and sun hat.

-One pair of gloves.

-One pair of shorts.

-Sunblock cream.

-Waterproof over-trousers.

-Waterproof and windproof jacket.

-A pair of gaiters.

Personal Kit

-A good quality rucksack.

-Rucksack liner or two strong plastic bags.

-A waterproof bag.

-A sleeping bag and sleeping mat.

-A sleeping bag liner.

-A survival bag.

-Torch with spare batteries (handheld or head torch).
