Panchase Danda trekking commences from the lakeside town of Pokhara traveling southwest before looping into the main Annapurna trekking region. The area around Panchase Danda is well known for its array of birds and wildlife. Besides that, the first five days of trekking are away from the more frequented trails providing an opportunity to experience the wealth of culture to be found in this area.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Then, we eventually arrive in Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village in the region and the Centre of the Annapurna Area Conservation Project. Here we rest for a day to explore this ornate Gurung village which provides some serious views of the mountains. Especially Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South and Himchuli emerge beautifully from here. Afterwards we start our two day trek back to Pokhara. Our Panchase Danda trek came to an end.
