Overview

Ganesh Himal Trek is one of the best and oldest camping trekking destinations in the northern part of Nepal. In this region, you will get a chance to observe the majestic views of Ganesh I, II, III, and IV peaks, glaciers, gorges, hot natural spas, and quaint Tamang villages. Tamang and Ghale are the major cast living in this region doing agriculture as their main occupation. Ganesh Himal Trek offers mountain rivers, suspension bridges, Tamang villages, deep gorges, dense forest, and spectacular mountain views. Besides this, you will have great contact with the local people. Ganesh Himal trek offers you the magnificent view of Ganesh Himal itself. Besides that, there are many natural resources which make your trip interesting and fun. There will be a rhododendron flower with varieties of colors during the fall season in the jungle. This is one of the unexplored trekking routes compared with the other trekking destination of Nepal. Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Overnight in Kathmandu at Hotel with breakfast.

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to sole bazaar 650m via Betrawati approx. 7 hrs.

Day 03: Trek from sole bazaar to Satdobate 1250m approx. 5 hrs.

Day 04: Trek from Satdobate to Balche 1930m approx 5 hrs.

Day 05: Trek from Balche to Gonga 2910m approx 7 hrs.

Day 06: Trek from Gonga to Rupchet Kharka 3634m approx 5 hrs.

Day 07: Trek from Rupchet Kharka to Mangchet Kharka via Singla Top approx 7 hrs.

Day 08: Trek from Mangchet Kharka to Pangsang Bhanjyang approx 7 hrs.

Day 09: Trek and climb to Pangsang La Danda and trek back to Pangsang Bhanjyang approx 3 hrs.

Day 10: Trek from Pangsang Bhanjyang to Chalise approx 7 hrs.

Day 11: Trek from Chalise to Hindung approx 5 hrs.

Day 12: Trek from Hindung to Rajgang Kharka approx 5 & ½ hrs.

Day 13: Trek from Rajgang Kharka to Kalo Seto Kunda Black and White Lake)Ganesh Himal Base Camp approx 6 hrs.

Day 14: Rest day at the Base Camp.

Day 15: Trek from Ganesh Himal Base Camp to Rajgang Kharka approx 6 hrs.

Day 16: Trek from Rajgang Kharka to Chalise 2000m.Approx 6 Hrs.

Day 17: Trek from Chalise to Laba village 1750m. Approx 6 Hrs.

Day 18: Trek from Laba village to Manyang Bhanjyang 2934m.Approx 5 Hrs.

Day 19: Trek from Manyang Bhanjyang to Majhgaun 2200m.Approx 6 Hrs.

Day 20: Trek from Majhgaun to Budathum approx 5 hrs.

Day 21: Trek from Budhathum to Arughat Bazaar 500m.Approx 2 Hrs.

Day 22: Arughat Bazaar to Kathmandu/8-9 hours: Drive by bus.

Day 23: Extra day in Kathmandu: Souvenir and sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Day 24: Final Departure to your home.

Nepal Trekking Equipment List

This piece info is creating data on consumer goods and equipment needs, For those that would love an extra detailed discussion for equipment for the Nepalese Himalayan Trek.
The following equipment list is required for Nepal Trekking and climbing and a list, you have to have suggested equipment just have with you, however, that you just might have your own personal first choice equipment which can be equally as appropriate

Footwear

  1. Walking boots with suitable ankle support that have been worn-in prior to the trek, and which are waterproof.
  2. Trainer or casual shoes, for trekking and/or for travelling.
  3. Warm socks for colder areas.
  4. Gaiters, in case of rain or snow

Legwear

  1. Loose, casual trousers for trekking.
  2. Thermal leggings for colder areas.
  3. Long skirt for women as an alternative to trousers.
  4. Waterproof trousers

Body

  1. Selection of T-shirts, and long-sleeved shirts, preferably not cotton.
  2. Thermal shirt for colder areas.
  3. Warm shirt, possibly fleeces, for colder areas.
  4. Fleece jacket or warm wool jumper.
  5. Windproof, waterproof outer shell garment for higher altitudes.
  6. Down jacket (optional for cold nights & mornings; can be hired in Kathmandu cheaply)

Head/Hands

  1. Wool or fleece hat, or balaclava.
  2. Hat or cap for sun protection while trekking.
  3. Sunglasses or goggles.
  4. Warm gloves

Other items

  1. Strong rucksack or large hold all to be carried by porters.
  2. Daysack to be carried personally.
  3. Plastic bags or stuff sacks to store/separate trekking gear inside your main bag.
  4. One litre water bottle.
  5. Personal first aid kit to include essential items.
  6. Sleeping bag, 4 seasons.
  7. Torch, ideally head torch.
  8. Digital Camera and spare battery and battery charger! – For those not to be forgotten shots of the Himalaya.
  9. Toilet items and towel.
  10. Large handkerchief/bandana for neck

Recommended Mountaineering Kit

In addition to the items mentioned above for trekking, the following is a list of the additional specialist items which are required for the trekking peaks.
Plastic or leather mountaineering boots, with gaiters and crampons that have been tested for a good fit.
