Overview

Mount Kanchenjunga Expedition is the third highest mountain in the world. Kanchenjunga is the third highest is Part of the Eastern Taplejung District Nepal. The date was on May 25, 1955, when two British mountaineers George Band and Joe Brown had successfully ascended up to Mt. Kanchenjunga and the third highest mountain in the world (after Mount Everest and K2), with an elevation of (8,586 meters) Kanchenjunga translated means. The Five Treasures of Snows”, as it contains five peaks, four of them over 8,450 meters). Itinerary Outline

Day 01: Arrival KTM & transfer to hotel -1300m/4264ft

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan international airport, our representative will welcome you and will assist to transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. You may relax at your hotel or go around shopping. In the evening Sange Sherpa Adventure Trekking will organize a welcome dinner for you in a centrally located Nepalese restaurant while briefing you about your adventurous trip will take place. Day 02/04: Stay in Kathmandu for paperwork and some other necessary preparation.

Day 05: Fly to Bhadrapur early morning & Drive to Phidim. Overnight in Lodge.

Day 06: Trek to Tharpu / Panchami. Overnight at Camp.

Day 07: Trek to Doban. Overnight at Camp.

Day 08: Trek to Khewang. Overnight at Camp.

Day 09: Trek to Yamphudin Bhote Gaun. Overnight at Camp.

Day 10: Trek to Toronto forest camp. Overnight at Camp.

Day 11: Trek to Tseram. Overnight at Camp.

Day 12: Trek to Ramje. Overnight at Camp.

Day 13: Rest /acclimatization day at Ramje. Overnight at Camp.

Day 14: Trek too (Moraine) glacier camp. Overnight at Camp.

Day 15: Trek too. Kuna Camp Overnight in camp.

Day 16: Trek to Kanchenjunga BC. Overnight in camp.

Day 17-20: Leisure at for acclimatization, blessing ceremony & climbing preparation.

Day 21/55: BCE. Kanchenjunga climbing period.

Day 56: Return trek to Ramje. Overnight at Camp.

Day 57: Trek down to Toronto forest camp. Overnight at Camp.

Day 58 :Trek to Yamphudin Bhote Gaun. Overnight at Camp.

Day 59: Trek to Khewang, Overnight in Camp.

Day 60: Trek to Panchami. Overnight at Camp.

Day 61: Trek to Tharpu. Overnight at Camp.

Day 62: Drive from Tharpu to Bhadrapur.

Day 63: Fly Back to Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.

Day 64/65: Leisure in Kathmandu.

Day 66: Final Departure to your home.

Expedition Equipment: A Complete List of items you need

The expedition is already a challenging and risky task, and the lack of correct equipment makes it even more difficult to scale. For your convenience here is a list of necessary equipment for the expedition we recommend. But remember while packing bag, that most of the international and domestic flights have a weight allowance of 20 kg.

Clothing

-A pair of walking boots (make sure the boots are a good fit and have been worn in).

-Two pairs of walking socks and two pairs of sock liners.

-Two to three comfortable t-shirts. You can also thermal t-shirts.

-Two fleece tops. Or thin layers of clothing with quick-dry fabric that wicks perspiration away from the skin rather than heavy cotton.

-Two suitable walking trousers (not jeans of any kind).

-Comfortable underwear and nightwear.

-Flip-flops, trainers, or sandals for campsite use.

-A warm hat and sun hat.

-One pair of gloves.

-One pair of shorts.

-Sunblock cream.

-Waterproof over-trousers.

-Waterproof and windproof jacket.

-A pair of gaiters.

Personal Kit

-A good quality rucksack.

-Rucksack liner or two strong plastic bags.

-A waterproof bag.

-A sleeping bag and sleeping mat.

-A sleeping bag liner.

-Torch with spare batteries (handheld or head torch).
