The presence of more than hundreds of species of birds and wildlife such as leopard, bear, Musk deer and wild boar is another attraction of Jaljala. One can have a sweeping view of Mt.Sisne, Mt.Putha, Mt.Dhaulagiri, Mt.Annapurna, and other mountains. Mostly populated by Magar, one of the indigenous people of Nepal, it is a wonderful experience to have a close look at their way of lifestyle and culture. The people of the Guerrilla trekking trail have undergone lots of hardships during the war period and they are trying to forget the war wounds and trauma through tourism. Itinerary

Day 01:
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m) Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, you will be welcomed heartily by a company representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel with a short briefing session reflecting ancient local traditions, shrines, and temples found over here. Overnight in Kathmandu. (1000m).

Day 02:
Drive from Kathmandu to Bhalubang takes eight hours.

Drive from Kathmandu to Bhalubang takes eight hours. Bhalubang is situated on the banks of the Rapti River. Stay overnight at the lodge in Bhalubang.

Day 03:
Drive from Bhalubang to Sulichur (800m) takes 5 hours.

Drive from Bhalubang to Sulichur (800m) takes 5 hours. You travel along the length of the Mali and Lungri streams. Sulichur is a small bazaar where you stay half for the night. Stay overnight at the lodge in Sulichur.

Day 04:
Drek from Sulichur to Jelbang (1655m) takes eight hours.

Day 06:
Trek from Bagtare to Jaljala (3160m) takes five hours.

Day 07:
On this day you can explore the various sights and sounds of Jaljala.

On this day you can explore the various sights and sounds of Jaljala. In the springtime, you will be mesmerized by the full blossoming of wildflowers and Rhododendron, green meadows, and the superb views of various mountains such as Mt.Sisne, Mt.Putha, Mt.Dhaulagiri, and Mt.Annapurna. Pilgrims offer prayers at the temples Kailu Baraha, Sahadev Baraha, and Bajyu Baraha. A visit to the Bhama cave also makes for an interesting trip. This cave is twenty-five to thirty meters long. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 08:
Trek from Jaljala to Thabang (2000m) takes four hours.

Trek from Jaljala to Thabang (2000m) takes four hours. The trek trail now passes through a descending path to arrive at Thabang. Thabang is the source of the Maoist movement in Nepal. Stay overnight in camp.

Day 09:
Explore around Thabang This day you can enjoy the culture.

Explore around Thabang This day you can enjoy the cultural program that exhibits the various forms of Magar dances such as Dhikure, Bhumya, etc. Both young and old join together to participate in the yearly festival known as “Bhumya festival” to appease the nature god and pray for the blessings to save their fields and homes from the might of the natural calamities. Day 10:
Trek from Thabang to Uwa takes six to seven hours.

Trek from Thabang to Uwa takes six to seven hours. This day you follow through some ascents and descents before you halt at Uwa for the night. Stay overnight in Camp.

Day 11:
Trek from Uwa to Phuliban for three hours.

Trek from Uwa to Phuliban for three hours. From Phuliban drive to Sulichur which takes one and half hours. You can have a sight of the Sunchhahari cascade on the way. You can also sight people searching closely for gold in the stream of Lungri during the spring season. Stay overnight at the lodge in Sulichur.

Day 12:
Drive from Sulichur to Bhalubang takes five hours.

Day 13:
Drive from Bhalubang to Kathmandu takes eight hours.

In the evening, we will visit a well-known Nepali kitchen for dinner; & as you savor your meal, you will be entertained by an exciting cultural dance performed by the local belles. Day 14:
Final Departure for home

Final Departure for home after breakfast does some last-minute shopping & packing & prepare for departure home. Nepal Trekking Equipment List

The following equipment list is required for Nepal Trekking and climbing and a list, you have to have suggested equipment just have with you, however, that you just might have your own personal first choice equipment which can be equally as appropriate

Footwear

  1. Walking boots with suitable ankle support that have been worn-in prior to the trek, and which are waterproof.
  2. Trainer or casual shoes, for trekking and/or for travelling.
  3. Warm socks for colder areas.
  4. Gaiters, in case of rain or snow

Legwear

  1. Loose, casual trousers for trekking.
  2. Thermal leggings for colder areas.
  3. Long skirts for women as an alternative to trousers.
  4. Waterproof trousers

Body

  1. Selection of T-shirts, and long-sleeved shirts, preferably not cotton.
  2. Thermal shirt for colder areas.
  3. Warm shirt, possibly fleeces, for colder areas.
  4. Fleece jacket or warm wool jumper.
  5. Windproof, waterproof outer shell garment for higher altitudes.

Head/Hands

  1. Wool or fleece hat, or balaclava.
  2. Hat or cap for sun protection while trekking.

  1. Strong rucksack or large hold all to be carried by porters.
  2. Daysack to be carried personally.
  3. Plastic bags or stuff sacks to store/separate trekking gear inside your main bag.

Recommended Mountaineering Kit
